21 Criteria for categorisation as endangered species

A native species is eligible for listing in the category of endangered species at a particular time if, at that time —

(a)

it is not a critically endangered species; and

(b)

it is facing a very high risk of extinction in the wild in the near future, as determined in accordance with criteria set out in the ministerial guidelines; and

(c)

listing in that category is otherwise in accordance with the ministerial guidelines.
