Building Services (Registration) Regulations 2011

A building contractor who carries out builder work as a principal builder must ensure that there is attached to the site where the work is being carried out a sign that complies with the following requirements —

the sign must be located in a prominent position on the site and be able to be read by members of the public from outside the site;

the sign must be of reasonable dimensions and written in clearly legible letters and numerals;

the sign must contain the following details —

the name and registration number of the building contractor;

a contact telephone number for the building contractor;

the name and registration number of the nominated supervisor for the building contractor.

Penalty: a fine of $1 000.
