Continuation of registration (Act s. 127)

In force

(1)

For the purposes of section 127 —

(a)

a person registered under section 12(1) or (2) of the repealed Act is to be taken to be registered as a painting practitioner and a painting contractor (individual); and

(b)

a partnership registered under section 14(1) of the repealed Act is to be taken to be registered as a painting contractor (partnership); and

(c)

a company or other body corporate registered under section 14(1) of the repealed Act is to be taken to be registered as a painting contractor (company).

(2)

The Building Commissioner may extend the period for which a person is to be taken under section 127 to be registered as a painting practitioner or painting contractor for a period of up to 3 months.
