38 Protection from liability for complainants and providers
This section applies if a person, in good faith —
makes a complaint; or
provides a document, information or assistance to an investigator in relation to a charitable trust or class of charitable trusts, whether in response to a requirement or voluntarily.
In making the complaint or providing the document, information or assistance, the person —
does not incur any civil or criminal liability; and
is not to be regarded as having breached any duty of confidentiality or secrecy imposed by law; and
is not to be regarded as having —
breached any professional ethics or standards or any principles of conduct applicable to the person’s employment; or
engaged in unprofessional conduct;
and
is not liable —
to any disciplinary action under a written law; or
to be dismissed from any office or to have the person’s employment terminated; or
to have the person’s services dispensed with or otherwise terminated.
