380A False copies of rules of participating co‑operative
A person who gives to a member of a participating co‑operative or to a person intending or applying to become a member of a participating co‑operative a copy of any rules or any alterations of rules, other than those which have been registered under the relevant corresponding co‑operatives law, representing that they are binding on the members of the participating co‑operative is guilty of an offence.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of $1 000.
A person who alters any of the rules of a participating co‑operative after they have been registered under the relevant corresponding co‑operatives law and circulates them representing that they have been so registered when they have not been is guilty of an offence.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of $1 000.
