38M Self‑incrimination
(1)
A person is not excused from complying with a request under section 38L to provide a record, information or evidence on the ground that the record, information or evidence might incriminate the person or make the person liable to a penalty.
(2)
However, any record, information or evidence provided by an individual in compliance with a request made of the individual under section 38L is not admissible in evidence against the individual in any proceedings for an offence other than proceedings for an offence against this Act or for perjury.
