106MB Broadcast of video‑taped evidence prohibited

(1)

A person shall not broadcast a visual recording of evidence or any part of such a recording except with approval of the Supreme Court and in accordance with any condition attached to the approval.

Penalty: $100 000 or imprisonment for 12 months, or both.

(2)

An approval under subsection (1) is only to be given in exceptional circumstances.

(3)

In subsection (1) broadcast means disseminate to the public by radio or television or otherwise by the transmission of light or sound.
