Recognition of firearms prohibition orders of other jurisdictions

(1)

In this section —

corresponding firearms prohibition order means an order made under a law of another State or a Territory that is prescribed by the regulations as a corresponding firearms prohibition order.

(2)

If a corresponding firearms prohibition order is in force in relation to a person —

(a)

the person is, for the purposes of this Act, taken to be a prohibited person; and

(b)

this Act applies to, and may be enforced in this State against, the person accordingly.
