169 Council a continuation of former Council
(1)
The new Council is a continuation of, and the same legal entity as, the former Council.
(2)
The assets, rights and liabilities of or in relation to the former Council continue as assets, rights and liabilities of or in relation to the new Council.
(3)
A reference to the former Council in a written law or other document or instrument is, where the context so requires, to be read as if it had been amended to be a reference to the new Council.
