27 Analysis of samples
(1)
An officer of a pathology laboratory may analyse, or arrange for someone else to analyse, a sample sent to the pathology laboratory under section 26.
(2)
An officer of the pathology laboratory may destroy the sample, or any part of the sample —
(a)
before it has been used for the analysis or a further analysis — if it is not required for any analysis or further analysis;
(b)
after it has been used for the analysis or a further analysis — if it is not required for any further analysis.
