Liability to pay port charges in respect of goods

Current

The following people are jointly and severally liable to pay port charges payable in respect of goods carried on a vessel —

(a)

the owner of the goods;

(b)

the owner of the vessel;

(c)

each consignor, consignee or shipper of the goods;

(d)

each agent for the sale of or custody of the goods;

(e)

each person entitled, either as the owner of the goods or on behalf of that owner, to the possession of the goods.
