26 Real estate agents and business agents must be licensed
On and after the appointed day 2 a person shall not carry on business, or by any means hold himself or itself out, as a real estate agent, or a business agent, or both a real estate agent and a business agent, unless he or it is licensed as such under this Act and holds a current triennial certificate in respect of the licence.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of $100 000.
For subsection (1), a person is taken not to be licensed or holding a current triennial certificate in respect of the licence if the person is required to surrender a licence and triennial certificate under section 34D(2) or (3).
