If a security bond release application is made by a property manager, the application must be made using BondsOnline eTransactions.

Subregulation (1) does not apply if —

the tenant does not have 1 or more of the following —

a mobile telephone number used exclusively by the tenant;

an email address used exclusively by the tenant;

internet access to check their email account;

competence in the use of a mobile telephone or email;

a sound understanding of the English language;

the application relates to the disposal of a security bond to an overseas bank account; or

the application relates to the transfer of a security bond from 1 property to another; or

the bond administrator has approved the application being made otherwise than by using BondsOnline eTransactions.
