108 Orders by Board
In this section —
authorised person means —
the registrar or a member of the Board; or
a departmental officer performing the functions of a prescribed office or an office of a prescribed class.
Except as provided in subsection (2A), an order giving effect to a decision made by the Board is to be signed by 2 members of the Board.
An order giving effect to a decision made, or an action taken, by the Board under Part 5 Division 1B or section 67A must be signed by the chairperson alone.
A notice of a decision made by the Board may be signed by an authorised person.
Despite subsection (2), an authorised person, on behalf of and in the name of the Board, may make a parole order in accordance with guidelines issued by the Board except in respect of a prisoner serving a parole term of at least 2 years for a serious offence.
The Board may issue guidelines to be observed by authorised persons when making parole orders under subsection (4).
