16 Interim registration
The Board, on an application under section 5(1), may grant interim registration in a particular category while assessing whether the applicant meets the requirements described in Division 2 for registration in that category.
The Board may only grant interim registration under subsection (1) if satisfied that it is highly likely that the applicant will meet the requirements described in Division 2 for registration in that category.
Interim registration granted under subsection (1) has effect until whichever of the following occurs first —
the person’s application for registration is granted or refused by the Board;
the period, not exceeding 3 months, specified in the person’s certificate of interim registration expires.
