Veterinary Practice Act 2021

The Board may, if it considers there are reasonable grounds for doing so, impose conditions on the registration of veterinary premises —

when granting or renewing the registration; or

during the currency of the registration.

Without limiting subsection (1), the following are examples of conditions that can be imposed on the registration of veterinary premises —

a condition requiring the premises to be used or equipped in a specified way or manner;

a condition requiring the premises to be redesigned, reconstructed or altered in a specified way or manner;

a condition requiring the premises to be managed, controlled or operated in a specified way or manner;

a condition requiring the registered practice owner to do or refrain from doing something in connection with the premises.

A decision under subsection (1) to impose a condition on the registration of veterinary premises during the currency of the registration takes effect on the later of the following —

the day on which notice of the decision is given to the registered practice owner for the premises under section 50(1);

the day (if any) specified in the notice.
