18 Functions of Council
(1)
The Council has the following functions —
(a)
advising the Minister in relation to the management of water resources generally and on any matter that the Minister refers to it for advice;
(b)
consulting with persons, or bodies, having functions under, or related to the purposes of, a water resources Act;
(c)
advising the Minister on whether the objectives of each water resources Act are being achieved.
(2)
In this section —
water resources Act means an Act that the Minister administers, to the extent to which the Act relates to water resources.
