16AV Information sharing protocols—Minister
The Minister must make protocols in relation to the operation of this part (a Ministerial protocol).
Without limiting subsection (1), a Ministerial protocol may—
state requirements for dealing with information under this part, including in relation to the following:
seeking the consent of a person;
dealing with information without consent;
how information sharing entities are to engage with each other and the information sharing coordinator;
identifying whether a protection purpose exists;
timeframes for disclosing information or telling at‑risk people about information dealt with under this part;
complying with privileges against self‑incrimination and exposure to civil penalty, and use and derivative use immunities;
operating requirements for information sharing entities; and

1 who may give or receive information on behalf of an entity
