Electoral Act 1992

If an application for registration of a political party is made under this part, the commissioner must register the party unless the commissioner refuses the application under section 90 (2) (Further information about application for political party registration) or section 93 (Refusal of applications for registration).

If the commissioner registers a political party, the commissioner must prepare written notice of the registration.

The notice is a notifiable instrument.

The commissioner must also give notice of the registration to the secretary of the political party.

In addition, if an objection was made under section 91A (Objections to applications and responses) to the application, the commissioner must give the objector an internal review notice about the decision to register the political party.
