27 Protection of members etc
A member of the council or a commission has, in the exercise of any function as a member in relation to an examination, the same protection and immunity as a judge of the Supreme Court in proceedings in that Court.
A lawyer assisting the council or a commission or appearing on a person’s behalf at a hearing before the council or a commission has the same protection and immunity as a barrister has in appearing for a party in proceedings in the Supreme Court.
Subject to this Act, a person subpoenaed to attend or appearing before the council or a commission as a witness has the same protection and is subject to the same liabilities as a witness in proceedings in the Supreme Court.
