421 Authorisations for corrections officers—Act, s 26 (1) (b), s 35 (1) (b), (2) (b), s 36 (b) and s 37 (1) (b)
A corrections officer is authorised, within the scope of the officer’s employment, to do any of the following in relation to a medicine supplied for a detainee by a person who is authorised to supply the medicine:
obtain the medicine;
possess the medicine (including possess the medicine outside a correctional centre for the purpose of administering the medicine to a detainee while the detainee is lawfully outside the centre);
administer the medicine to the detainee;
supply the medicine to a person who is authorised to obtain the medicine for the detainee.
