16 Contact with family and others—generally
The director-general must ensure, as far as practicable, that adequate opportunities are provided for patients to be able to contact family members, friends and others.
In particular, the director-general must ensure that adequate facilities are available for a patient to contact an accredited person.
Note Accredited person—see the dictionary.
The director-general may make a SMHF direction about the provision of, and access to, communications facilities at a secure mental health facility.
