35 Immunity from liability
If a person makes a public interest disclosure—
the making of the public interest disclosure is not—
a breach of confidence; or
a breach of professional etiquette or ethics; or
a breach of a rule of professional conduct; or
if the disclosure is made in relation to a member of the Legislative Assembly—a contempt of the Assembly; and
the discloser does not incur civil or criminal liability only because of the making of the public interest disclosure; and
for a discloser who is a public official—the discloser is not liable to administrative action (including disciplinary action or dismissal) only because of the making of the public interest disclosure.
