44 Consideration without complaint or appropriate complaint
(1)
The board may, on its own initiative, consider in relation to a veterinary practitioner—
(a)
an act or service by the practitioner that appears to the board to be an act or service about which a person could make, but has not made, a complaint under this Act; or
(b)
any other matter related to the registration of the veterinary practitioner.
(2)
A board-initiated consideration must, as far as practicable, be conducted as if it were a consideration of a complaint.
