Commencement

2 Commencement

(1)

Subject to this section, this Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

(2)

Items 7 to 10 of Schedule 3 and items 8 and 9 of Schedule 4 commence on a day to be fixed by Proclamation. The day must not be earlier than the day on which the Minister gives the Governor-General a written certificate stating that the Minister is satisfied that the relevant Minister of South Australia has agreed to those items commencing.

Item 11 of Schedule 3 commences on a day to be fixed by Proclamation. The day must not be earlier than the day on which the Minister gives the Governor-General a written certificate stating that the Minister is satisfied that the relevant Minister of Tasmania has agreed to that item commencing.

(4)

Item 2 of Schedule 4 commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

(5)

The remaining items of Schedule 3 and Schedule 4 commence on a day to be fixed by Proclamation. The day must not be earlier than the later of the day proclaimed for the purposes of subsection (2) and the day proclaimed for the purposes of subsection (3).
