If a person who has been served with a summons under the Extradition Regulations and has been paid or tendered a reasonable sum for his or her expenses then fails to attend as required by the summons, the person:
is guilty of an offence and is liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding $500; and
is liable without further notice to be arrested and brought before a magistrate or an eligible Judge.
