59 Disclosure of protected information for the purposes of law enforcement etc
The Minister may disclose protected information to an enforcement body if:
the Minister reasonably believes that the disclosure of the information is necessary for:
the enforcement of the criminal law; or
the enforcement of a law imposing a pecuniary penalty; or
the protection of the public revenue; and
the functions of the body include that enforcement or protection; and
the information is disclosed for the purposes of that enforcement or protection.
Each of the following is an enforcement body:
a department, agency or authority of the Commonwealth;
a State government body;
the Australian Federal Police;
the police force or police service of a State.
