19 Determination and marking
The master may permit the use of an article of material handling equipment for loading or unloading a vessel only if:
the following is met:
a competent person, having regard to the design, strength, material of construction and proposed use of the article has determined the safe working load of the article; and
the safe working load is marked on the article in a way that is durable and readily visible: or
the safe working load of an article is determined and marked in accordance with Marine Order 12 (Construction - subdivision and stability, machinery and electrical installations) 2023.
Subsection (1) does not apply to fibre rope, nets or slings.
