9 Passageways
(1)
A passageway, other than between ladders on a cellular container vessel, that is part of a means of access to a cargo space must be at least:
(a)
for an entrance doorway or opening through a structural member such as a bulkhead or web-frame - 600 mm wide and 2 m high, less the height of any sill not more than 450 mm high; or
(b)
in any other case - 600 mm wide and 2 m high.
(2)
If temporary fencing is used in a passageway, the passageway width may be reduced to 550 mm.
