13 Facilities to be provided by police if accused person not released
(1)
The facilities required by the Act, section 46(2) to be made available to an accused person in police custody who is refused bail or not released on bail by a police officer are as follows—
(a)
facilities for an accused person to wash, shower or bathe,
(b)
facilities for an accused person to change clothing.
(2)
Nothing in this section requires a police officer to provide clothing for an accused person unless—
(a)
the clothing is brought to the police station at which the person is in custody, whether by a member of the accused person’s family or by some other person, and
(b)
the person who brings the clothing consents to the clothing being searched.
