29 Definitions
In this part—
amending Act means the Local Court and Bail Legislation Amendment Act 2025.
change of office, in relation to a person holding office as a Magistrate immediately before the commencement date, means—
(a)
the abolition of the office of Magistrate by the amending Act, and
(b)
the person’s appointment to the office of Judge of the Local Court by the amending Act.
commencement date means the date on which the amending Act, Schedules 1 and 2 commence.
