9 Effect of appointment and service as coroner(cf Coroners Act 1980, s 4A(6) and (8))
(1)
Except as provided by section 7(6), the appointment of a Judge as a coronial officer does not affect the Judge’s tenure of office, rank, title, status or precedence as a Judge.
(2)
The service of a Judge as a coronial officer is taken, for all purposes, to be service as a Judge.
