36 Interstate transactions
(1)
Despite any other provision of this Act, a person who is the holder of a permit is, for the purposes of any transaction between the person and the holder of a corresponding permit outside New South Wales, authorised to buy or sell a prohibited weapon from or to the holder of that corresponding permit.
(2)
In this section—
corresponding permit means an instrument (or other form of authorisation) that—
(a)
is in force in a place outside New South Wales, and
(b)
is, in the opinion of the Commissioner, the equivalent of a permit in force under this Act.
