49 Conferring of higher education award without course being undertaken
A person, other than a university or the Batchelor
Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, must not confer a higher education award on another person unless the other person has undertaken a course leading to the award.
Maximum penalty: If the offender is a natural person – 200 penalty units.
If the offender is a body corporate – 1 000 penalty units.
