51 Conferring of higher education award by interstate university etc.
An interstate university operating in the Territory under an agency arrangement must not confer, or hold out that the university is authorised to confer, a higher education award unless it is authorised under an approval under section 19 to offer the course leading to the award.
Maximum penalty: If the offender is a natural person – 200 penalty units.
If the offender is a body corporate – 1 000 penalty units.
A person must not hold out that an interstate university operating in the Territory under an agency arrangement is authorised to confer a higher education award unless it is authorised under an approval under section 19 to offer the course leading to the award.
