Meeting procedures
20 Meeting procedures
Subject to this Part, the Board may determine the procedures to be followed at or in connection with a meeting.
At a meeting:
4 members constitute a quorum; and
questions, including the election of the Chairperson and Deputy
Chairperson, must be decided by a majority of the votes of the members present and voting; and
in the event of an equality of votes – the person presiding at the meeting has a casting vote in addition to a deliberative vote.
However, the Board may approve the disposal of an object from the collections only if:
each member has been given notice of the proposal to dispose of the object at least 3 months before the meeting at which the proposal is to be decided; and
at least 6 members vote in favour of the approval at the meeting.
