18 Termination of appointment

(1)

The Minister may terminate the appointment of an ordinary member for inability, inefficiency, misbehaviour or physical or mental incapacity.

(2)

The Minister must terminate the appointment of an ordinary member:

(a)

if the ordinary member is absent from 3 consecutive meetings of the Advisory Board without leave granted under section 16; or

(b)

if the ordinary member is found guilty of an offence of such a nature that it would be inappropriate for the person to continue to be an ordinary member; or

(c)

if the ordinary member:

(i)

becomes bankrupt; or

(ii)

applies to take the benefit of a law for the relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors; or

(iii)

compounds with creditors or makes an assignment of the ordinary member's remuneration for their benefit.

(3)

A termination of appointment must be made in writing.
