Coroners Act 2003

The office of a member becomes vacant if the member—

completes the member’s term of office and is not reappointed; or

resigns from office by signed notice given to the Minister; or

is an insolvent under administration; or

is convicted of an indictable offence; or

becomes a member of the Legislative Assembly; or

is absent from 3 consecutive meetings of the board—

without the board’s permission; and

without reasonable excuse; or

is removed from office by the Minister under subsection (2).

The Minister may end the appointment of a member if the Minister is satisfied the member is incapable of satisfactorily performing the member’s duties.
