22 Person must not tamper with plate or label
(1)
A person must not tamper with a plate or label fitted or affixed to a heavy vehicle under section 21.Maximum penalty—$3000.
(2)
In a proceeding for an offence against subsection (1), it is a defence for the person to prove that the tampering was done with the written approval of the Regulator.
(3)
In this section—tamper means alter, damage, remove or otherwise interfere with.
