137 Holding office after withdrawal
(1)
If the commission fixes a withdrawal day, a newly registered organisation’s rules may allow a person to hold an elected office in the organisation if the person—
(a)
was elected to an equivalent office in the constituent part of the amalgamated organisation; and
(b)
held the office immediately before the withdrawal day for the constituent part.
(2)
However, the rules may not allow the person to hold the office, without an election, for more than the longer of—
(a)
the person’s unexpired office term immediately before the withdrawal day; or
(b)
1 year after the withdrawal day.
