26 Application for permit
(1)
A person desirous of obtaining a permit shall make application to the Minister in the approved form.
(2)
A person shall not, in connection with an application by the person for a permit, make a statement or representation that is false or misleading in a material particular.Maximum penalty—$2000 or 3 months imprisonment.
(3)
It is a defence to a charge of the offence defined in subsection (2) that the defendant did not know and could not by the exercise of reasonable diligence have ascertained that the statement or representation was false or misleading.
