118 Vacating office
(1)
The office of a member, deputy member or temporary member becomes vacant if the member, deputy member or temporary member—
(a)
is disqualified under section 112; or
(b)
resigns under section 117.
(2)
Also, the office of a member becomes vacant if—
(a)
the member is absent from 3 consecutive council meetings of which appropriate notice has been given; and
(b)
the member does not have the council’s permission to be absent or approved leave of absence under section 119.
