This section applies to a control body’s first strategic and operational plans after the commencement.

The time within which a control body must prepare and give a draft of each plan for section 92 is 1 month after the commencement or another time agreed between the control body and the Minister.

If a draft plan has not been agreed to within 1 month after giving it to the Minister, the Minister may give a direction under section 93(3) about the draft plan.

The period for which the strategic or operational plan applies is—

the remainder of the financial year in which it is agreed to by the Minister; and

if the control body and the Minister agree the plan is also to apply for the following financial year, for that financial year.
