Meaning of working with children exemption

In force

A working with children exemption is an authority—

(a)

issued by the chief executive to a person who made a working with children check (exemption) application; and

(b)

that indicates—

(i)

screening of the person has been undertaken under this Act; and

(ii)

the person is authorised to engage in regulated employment or carry on a regulated business outside of the scope of the person’s responsibilities as a police officer or registered teacher.
