79 Exemptions
(1)
The
Regulator may, on application or on the Regulator's own initiative, exempt a person or class of persons from compliance with this Act or specified provisions of this Act.
(2)
An exemption is subject to conditions stated in the notice of exemption.
(3)
An exemption may be varied or revoked by further written notice to the holder of the exemption.
(4)
A person who has been exempted from compliance with this Act or specified provisions of this Act must not contravene a condition of the exemption.
Maximum penalty:
(a)
in the case of an individual—$10 000;
(b)
in the case of a body corporate—$50 000.
