Judicial Conduct Commissioner Act 2015

A person must not—

prevent another person from making a complaint under this Act;

or

hinder or obstruct another person in making such a complaint. Maximum penalty: Maximum penalty: $10 000 or imprisonment for 2 years.

A person must not—

hinder or obstruct the Commissioner or a judicial conduct panel in the exercise or performance of powers or functions conferred by or under this

Act; or

refuse or fail to comply with a lawful requirement of the

Commissioner or a judicial conduct panel under this Act; or

make a statement that is false or misleading in a material particular (whether by reason of the inclusion or omission of a particular) to the Commissioner or a judicial conduct panel acting in the exercise of powers under this Act; or

make a complaint knowing that there are no grounds for the making of the complaint. Maximum penalty: Maximum penalty: $10 000 or imprisonment for 2 years.
