16 Application for accreditation

(1)

An application for accreditation for the purposes of this Division must be made to the Minister and must—

(a)

be in the manner and form, and contain the information, required by the Minister; and

(b)

be accompanied by the fee fixed by the regulations.

(2)

The Minister may, by written notice, require the applicant—

(a)

to provide the Minister with further information, documents or records relevant to the application; or

(b)

to allow an inspector or an approved auditor to inspect premises, facilities, vehicles, plant or equipment, or any other thing, proposed to be used by the applicant in connection with the issuing of certificates under the proposed accreditation.

(3)

The Minister may refuse the application if the applicant does not comply with such a request.

(4)

The applicant may, with the approval of the Minister or at the request of the Minister, amend the application before the Minister has finished considering it.
