108 Restrictions on advertising
Subject to this section, a person who publishes, or causes to be published, in a newspaper or periodical, or by means of broadcasting, television, or public exhibition, any advertisement, news item, or other matter indicating (whether or not in relation to a particular child, born or unborn) that – a parent or guardian of a child wishes to have the child adopted; or a person wishes to adopt a child; or a person is making, or is willing to make, arrangements with a view to the adoption of a child – is guilty of an offence.
Subsection (1) does not apply in relation to an advertisement or other matter that has been approved by the Secretary or by the principal officer of an approved agency.
