96 Certified copies, &c., of adoption order to be evidence

In any proceedings in a court –

a certified copy of an order for the adoption of a child made by a court (whether in Tasmania or elsewhere) or a certificate or extract giving particulars of any such order and purporting to be signed by an officer of the court which made the order; or a certified copy of an entry in a public official record of the adoption of children (whether kept in Tasmania or elsewhere) or a certificate or extract giving particulars of any such entry and purporting to be signed by the person having the custody of that record –

is evidence of the making of the order and of the facts stated in the order or the entry.
