179 False or misleading statements
A medical practitioner or accredited impairment assessor must not provide to the Commissioner, or to a person who has made or subsequently makes an application for compensation, a medical certificate that contains any information that, to the practitioner's or assessor's knowledge, is false or misleading in a material particular. Fine not exceeding 100 penalty units.
A person must not, in making any application under this Act or providing any particulars or information under this Act, make, or cause to be made, a statement or representation that to the person's knowledge is false or misleading in a material particular. Fine not exceeding 100 penalty units.
